Jammu Kendra

Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) was founded by Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda in 1917. The mission of YSS is to make available to all the ancient scientific teachings, and meditation techniques of Kriya Yoga for achieving all-round success, well-being, and a direct personal experience of God. YSS has more than 200 centers across India to help all Truth-seekers to experience the power of group meditations and to share in spiritual fellowship. YSS Dhyana Kendra, Jammu is at Udheywalla which is about 5 km away from Jammu city, on the National Highway leading to the famous Mughal Road. The kendra has a subcenter located in the heart of Jammu city - an old and famous Ranbireshwar temple built by Maharaja Hari Singh, the last ruler of Dogra dynasty of Jammu and Kashmir. The activities of the Kendra are executed, coordinated and monitored by designated committee approved by YSS, Ranchi with the help of volunteers and willful devotees. Devotees are welcome to attend meditations at scheduled times during the week. The kendra also offers medical services via a charitable dispensary for needy people. YSS spiritual retreats, functions are primarily held in the Kendra.
